What is a real estate fund?

A real estate fund is an investment fund which invests only in real estate property. The fund buys a lot of property, before renting it out in order to make a profit from it.

The manager of such a fund will have to find a way to combine security and profit by diversifying the real estate purchases: 

• Geographical areas (big cities, countryside, Switzerland, Europe, etc..).  
• Typology of the properties (studio, luxury apartment, family home). 
• Use of the properties (commercial properties, housing).
